LIS 6271 - Research Methods
This survey design was a collaborative project concerning underrepresentation of marginalized groups in archival collections. In this survey design we applied quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to gather data on demographics, outreach strategies , current descriptive practices and the challenges of re-descriptive practices involved in making archival collections more inclusive.
IV.b. Students will identify opportunities for research and develop plans for research in applied settings in library and information science.

Community Profile/Community Needs Assessment(Not Graded Yet)
I created a Community profile/Community Assessment for Spanish language Materials. In this assignment, I showcased the ability to identify an information gap concerning the availability of Spanish language materials and conducting research through an assessment. The field survey in this assignment also helped me gather data to identify opportunities for research and plans for collection development and maintenance projects.
